Here goes!!

Well I have started….I have got some boxes out and started unpacking as you can see from the pictures below. It does not seem like a lot on the pics but it sure does when you start unpacking it all. I have got some cupboards down from the loft and luckily Dave has let me have them in the conservatory so as soon as it is all organised then I can make a start.

I have decided I will not be buying anything new as I am shocked at how much stuff I have got and not even realised it, so I will not be coerced or bullied by myself into buying anything new…..yeah right!!! lol

OMG how time flies

I cannot believe it has been nearly a year since my last post, it is mad how quickly that has gone.

I have been keeping up on everyone's blogs and have been inspired to have a look at getting my crafty bits back out of the boxes and get back crafting again woohoo :)

As much as work took over I think another problem was I was so loyal to PM's that I lost the whole enjoyment of making what I wanted. I felt I had to use PM's on everything I made and I also felt guilty for not leaving comments for everyone and not having comments myself. So I am not going to worry any more, this blog is for me and I will appreciate every comment that comes and if none come then so be it :)

Right lets get unpacking then, I have lots of boxes and no where to put it all....this should be fun :)

WELCOME TO THE PASSION FOR PROMARKERS BLOG HOP!!

Over at Passion for promarkers challenge this week we are celebrating the change of design teams with a blog hop. I’m sure you are as excited as I am as there are lots of lovely goodies up for grabs!! We also have a few new faces on the design team so I hope you will leave them a nice comment to welcome them. Ooops!!! sorry I am a bit late this morning, I had my brother who I have not seen since xmas and my mom round last night and completely forgot to schedule my post and this is going to be a quickie so lets get on shall we :)

Our challenge this week over at Passion for ProMarkers has been set by Sue and she has chosen ‘strawberries & cream’, which can be interpreted either by using images that include strawberries or just the colour scheme, it’s entirely up to you. Of course don’t forget you must use your promarkers to be eligible for our prize.

Well it does not look like I am going to get another card on this side of the Christmas, so I just wanted to wish everyone a Very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. I have been such a bag blogger lately and have had no time at all to make cards for various reasons which I won’t bore you with, so if you don’t get a card this year I do apologise but there is a goodish reason for it :)

ProMarker Challenge “Christmas Bonanza”

We have a fantastic challenge over at PFP this month starting from 9am today (1st December) and ending at 9am on the 5th January 2010. For this challenge we would like to see your creations using any colours of promarkers but we want you to make ‘anything but a card - with a Christmas theme’. As this is an extra special challenge our sponsors have come up trumps and we have some amazing prizes up for grabs.

So here goes, I used my new lottie image from greeting farm, I have layered her with nesties that I had for my birthday from my partner in crime at PFP Denise (thanks Denise!) and used Basic grey papers, the sentiment and punches are SU

Passion for ProMarkers DT card

I bet you have all forgotten who I am :) at last a card. Thank you to everyone for all of your birthday wishes and get well wishes too, my shoulder and neck are on the mend and it just a matter of exercise and time now. So I figured if I can hoover I can make cards :)

So onto this weeks card for PFP, the challenge was set by one of our guests Manda and is a colour challenge of "Canary and Grass". I nearly chickened out of putting this card in but I had my arm twisted by Denise :) for some reason I could not get her hair right so please forgive me, but it is my first cards in weeks…..well that is my excuse and I am sticking to it :)

I used all Stampin Up papers available from Julie, the image is sugar nellie

Right that was short and sweet for my first post back, I will be back soon :)

Secret Crafter Saturday challenge DT card

I nearly didn’t make it with this card today, at one point I thought I should just go back to bed :). Firstly because I had a week and half off from cardmaking I completely forgot I had to make a card for SCSC (slapped hand), then once I had decided what to do, I must have had at least half a dozen phone calls to put me off, then after I made the card I could not find my bluetooth to upload it off my phone, and finally my back started aching, but hey ho I got there in the end :)

Now for my challenge card for SCSC which was set by yours truely and is “teenage boy” a card none of us like but all of us need, please visit the rest of the DT they have done so well with my challenge. So here is my card :)

The image is from Sugar Nellie and coloured with some old and some new Woohoooo ProMarkers, all the new PM’s are now in stock at Secret crafter and even better Wendy is now doing free p&p, so now there is no excuse :). All of the papers and stars are from a kit I bought from SU.

I made the lollipop flowers using my SU punches, I think they need an extra layer but I didn’t have any more punches :) I distressed the edges with my scissors. The papers are K&Co and the cardstock is Papertrey.

Ok sunny’s on here goes, the image is a digi image from all that scraps and is coloured with PM’s which are available from Wendy at Secret Crafter, the paper is DCWV and so is the ribbon which if you can not work out is across the green card, I am not quite happy with this card it is way too fussy for me but it was so hot in my craft room, I just had to get in and out quite quickly :)

DT card Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge

This weeks challenge at SCSC was set by Mandy it is “Pretty Packaging” the DT has done some fantastic creations so please go check them out.

I have used one of these lovely gift sacks from SU, these are available from Jules for £1.95 for 3 and used a Papertrey stamp from the Floral frenzy set. I have put little gems in the centre, coloured the handle with my PM’s, and put a huge flower (not to cover a mistake at all :). I have also added a sentiment on the bottom corner :)

Colour create

This is my first card for colour create, the colours this week are “Pistachio Green, Aqua and Powder Pink” I just love pastel colours so could not resist having a go :)

I have used my gorgeous new digi image from All that scraps C.C. Designs Swiss Pixies Heidi , I never knew they did downloads until I saw Emma’s gorgeous card and had to go buy some :)

I have coloured the image with PM’s and all of the papers are from scraps, the punches are from SU and the sentiment is craftwork cards

The whole thing started with the movie "Pay it forward". The role model of Haley Joel Osment, gives a great deed to another person. The only attach to the one who receives it, is that he/her has to promise to give something that matters to others. A simple demand, that may not be as simple that it sounds? DT card Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge

This weeks challenge at SCSC is "In the Jungle" and was set by the lovely Wendy (Secret crafter Boss) I had slight trouble with this one, as I couldn't work out what animals I had in stamps which lived in the jungle, I did want to do a hippo but Dave told me they lived in water, so I decided on an elephant, Tarzan rode an elephant in the jungle didn't he :)
The elephant is papermania and is coloured with ProMarkers which I should mention and never have (DOH!!) that they were bought from Wendy at Secret crafter, Dave went to Wendys house and bought the whole set for me last year :) which I thought was extremely nice of her been as he was a total stranger and a bit scary looking (only joking). Anyway the papers are DCWV and the doodling was done my yours truly :)

I made this card for a friend who helped us out with a few odd jobs :) The image is High Hopes "Carpenter Ant" and is available from Tracy at "Dies to die for", I have coloured him with Promarkers, I had no idea what colour to do him so used most of my warm greys. The papers are also available from Tracy, they are Doodlebug Bazzill "Dragonfly" a gorgeous colour and the pattern paper is Daisy Bucket "Mind your Manners". Tracy has lots of new goodies arriving all of time so it is always good to go check out her new listings on her website. The sentiment is papermania.

This weeks challenge at SCSC is "bling" chosen by the lovely Jill, I decided not to do a card for this one and did a sketch book instead, I love sketches but never remember them so I have decided to print them off, put them in my book and then there will never be an excuse not to make a card :)
I have used all K&Co papers and embellishments, the butterfly has gorgeous stones on which you can not see properly and so do the flowers, the wording is also K&Co, sorry about the photo again, anything that has a little bling on does not photo well for me :(

I have made this card for Helen, who is 40 today, she is on our new DT for Passion for ProMarkers, I think she has got this card but know she is off out tonight so won't see the post :)
I have used WOJ summer kit image and coloured with PM's and is layered onto nestabilities, available from Dies to die for, I have stamped the strawberry image from the kit onto the red card with versamark. The papers are both K&Co one is Citronella "Green leaves" and the other is Citronella "Strawberry Limeade", both papers are available from Tracy at Dies to die for, and last but not least the sentiment is SU and so are the punches

Yay, I am back and raring to go :) the computer problem has been resolved to the cost of £379 for a new one!! the poor old credit card didn't know what hit it, but at least I am up and running again, and I must admit it is nice to have a nice new puter again. It may take a while to get round to you all, but thank you so much for all your kind wishes :)

No cards just a quick post to moan, my computer has conked out on me :(, I can not believe it, I have seen so many bloggers having computer problems and I have really felt for them and then what happens, mine dies too :( computer man says it is the motherboard and a waste of money to fix, so at the moment I am on Dave's work computer, I dont want to push my luck and use it too much (don't want him to get in trouble) so it may be a while until I can leave comments. I am still ok for the new blog "passion for promarkers" as I have a very good partner in crime Denise, who is doing most of the work at the moment, (thankyou xx), so don't forget to check out the new DT who will be announced tomorrow :) and a quick thank you to everyone who took the time to apply,

Our New Challenge Blog and Candy Time

To celebrate the launch of our new challenge blog, we have decided to give one lucky person the chance to win all of the forthcoming challenge colours, with addition there is also some skin colours to get your collection started :) all you need to do is pop over to our new blog here or click on the picture below to find our what to do next!! :)

As you know I love my promarkers and use them on practically every card I make, so I won't come as any surprise to hear that along with my fellow devotee Denise (The Crafty Den) we have set up a "Passion for ProMarkers" challenge blog. The challenge will run weekly on a Tuesday and consist of being set 2 or 3 specific colours of promarkers that you must use that particular week.
Now it's all very new and at the moment we are looking for 4 other promarker lovers to join our DT, so if you're interested just pop over to the Passion for ProMarkers blog and take a look (there are only a few rules). The closing date for applications is 18th May and our first challenge begins on 26th May. We would love it if you could come over and join the challenge.
